Battle Brewery and Hartley Boats Blaze National Championship *

Pevensey Bay Sailing Club welcome the Blaze Class to their superb south coast venue for the 2025 Blaze National Championship. With warmest thanks to Battle Brewery and Hartley Boats for their generous support for this event.

• Pevensey Bay lies on the eclectic East Sussex coast about a mile to the east of Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour. Sited right on the beach, Pevensey Bay SC's clubhouse is only a stumble over the pebbles to the open sea. On-site camping, secure boat and car parking is ideal for the traveling masses, and with its large sea-view terrace and a bar long enough to keep up with the customary Blaze thirst, Pevensey Bay SC has all the elements we could hope for in a Class flagship event venue. BCA are sponsoring half price Youth and Ladies for entries received before 00:00 on Friday 16th May. The entry fee includes three days of racing, car parking, full access to the clubhouse, showers and facilities. Event itinerary:

• Thursday night camping free. Bar open.

• Friday racing - first warning not before midday. 

• Blaze Class Association AGM scheduled for Friday evening (timings dependent on racing).

• Friday night chili and rice (booked and paid separately - £5) to get you carbo-loaded and chili-fuelled for next day's racing.

• Bar and music. Gentle fun to keep mind and body in the racing spirit.

• Saturday racing - first warning not before 10:30.

• A hearty Saturday night BBQ meal (booked and paid separately - £15) will help soak up the extraneous 'hydration' and set you up for a night of unfettered fun.

• BEER, BEER, BEER - for all entrants to drink and to win by generous support from Battle Brewery.

• In celebration of 80 years since Victory in Europe (VE Day), PBSC will be holding a 1940’s themed party on the Saturday evening, with prizes for the best 1940’s costume, everyone is welcome.

• And our very own BCA ent's manager, Lee, will be hosting a supremely entertaining and rawcous raffle - with a twist - which offers a tantalisingly hefty prize... and many not so appetising... All will be revealed...! Camping £15 per night for Friday and Saturday. Event prizes by kind support from Hartley Boats. So, a full-on weekend of racing action, entertainment, food and imbibement. If you travel nowhere else this season, Pevensey Bay is the place to Blaze this summer. ONE RACE ENTRANT PER ORDER PLEASE.
