Blaze Inland Championship 2023

Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club are very pleased to host the Blaze Inland Championships at Grimwith Reservoir on Saturday 14 October and  Sunday 15 October 2023

Entries and Suggested Entry Donations

To help with planning and organisation please enter on the Yorkshire Dasles SC website. Online entries will close at 20:00 on Thursday evening 12th October  2023.

The suggested entry donation (as we are a charity) for the event is  £30 per boat online. For entires on the day the suggested donation is  £35.

Event Schedule

SATURDAY

Registration at the clubhouse from 9.30hrs Saturday 14th October Competitor Briefing Time 11.00hrs Race 1 12.00hrs (first warning signal 11:55hrs) Lunch Break – about 13.15hrs Race 2  soon after lunch Race 3  Back to back after Race 2 If conditions allow, Race 4 might be run Back to back after Race 3 Supper in the Clubhouse from 18.30hrs Bar open until 9.30pm

SUNDAY Race 4 or 5 10:00hrs (first warning signal 9:55hrs) Subject to wind Race 5 or 6  Back to back after Race 4 Lunch Break – about 12.15hrs Race 6  (if needed) soon after lunch.

If cancellation is required due to weather or any other unforeseen event, then this will be notified on the Yorkshire Dales SC website.

Other Key Information

The YDSC Galley will be open for Breakfast, Lunch and for Dinner on  Saturday, plus Breakfast & Lunch on Sunday. Saturday dinner must be  booked in advance. Please do so as early as possible. The details are in  the Additional Information section at the end of the Notice of Race.

Camping for motorhomes and tents is free (sorry, Yorkshire Water  specify no caravans). Gates should be opened at around 5pm on Friday  13th October and visitors should leave by 5pm on Sunday evening.
