the front tube pulley fixing on 831 has pulled out too many times for more fixes so can anyone give me an idea for a fix that does not require holes and screws in the tube?

Thanks Ben but yes the screws do foul the tube ends wherever you fit them as the tubes will slide in that far. So a better method needs to be designed or perhaps a stop fitted inside the inner tube?
I suspect that my board is a bit tight which is good but perhaps this highlights that a change to the fixing method for the front pulley is required? I will be redrilling slightly further in pro-tem. Of course the ends of the screws currently will be stopping the tube from completely sliding in and equally the tubes being put in could be causing some of the damage by loosening the screws in their holes.
Got any pictures?
